It can be a taxing for even the most compassionate Montessorian especially so for the early childhood Montessorian not trained at the I/T level. What are some of the characteristics of these children and how to respectfully accommodate them?
Bio: Donohue Shortridge has been a Montessorian for over 37 years serving in various capacities from classroom assistant to lead guide to teacher educator and mentor. She holds AMS credentials from MECR at both the infant/toddler and early childhood levels. Her Masters thesis explored the history of Montessori in America.
For the past twenty years Donohue has been presenting staff development workshops and parent night talks at Montessori schools in Colorado and around the county and Canada. She's published in Montessori journals, is a frequent presenter at local, regional and national conferences and has created a DVD, Aidan's Muddy Adventure, to help adults bring their young children out into the natural world.
