Description: Since the launch of the state's Quality Rating Improvement System, Colorado Shines, there has been contention and confusion especially among unique programs such as Montessori. We know that traditional Montessori programs typically fall short in key areas of the Environment Rating Scale and many do not wish to make the changes to maximize their scoring potential in the program. Holly Romero, the Program Support Specialist, will present on the Colorado Shines system, how to reach Level 2, PDIS and answer questions about the general system of Colorado Shines. Michelle Ewing will then present on creative ways to meet indicators in the ERS Tool to foster success during a rating. Colorado Shines is a journey to quality and we recognize there are many ways to achieve a quality program. We are here to help! There will be a Q&A session at the end if time permits.
