Tina Barath: I grew up an hour south of Chicago in a small town called Oswego.  I moved out to Colorado after I graduated from high school and have been here ever since.

After graduating from Metro State College in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and Education Certification, I began my teaching career working with Denver Public Schools.  In 2007, I completed my Master of Arts Degree with an emphasis in elementary education at the University of Colorado at Denver. Simultaneously, I completed my Montessori training with the Montessori Education Center of the Rockies in Boulder.  As an educator, I strive to give every student the skills to be successful in life.

I enjoy gardening, traveling, reading, hiking and working around my house.  I began working for Compass Montessori School in the 2008-09 school year and I am looking forward to many years of working with the Compass community.

Anne Prosser is currently in her eleventh year working as a lower elementary teacher at Compass Montessori in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Prior to Compass she taught for 8 years at Free Horizon Montessori in Children’s House, lower elementary and K-6 art. She also has many years experience working in traditional classroom environments, bringing her service in pubic education to 23 years.

Anne received her Elementary Montessori credential from the Montessori Education Center of the Rockies in 2005 and earned her Bachelor’s in History at Brown University. She continues to enhance her role as an educator and teacher mentor by attending Montessori conferences and workshops as well as reading intervention trainings focusing on literacy. As a Colorado native Anne delights in hiking, all-terrain skiing, rock climbing and archery, and enjoys reading, creative projects and entertaining in her spare time, especially when combined with spending time with her husband, children and friends.

Anne is also excited to be Secretary of the Colorado Montessori Association, supporting its work advocating for Montessori pedagogy, administrators, educators and students.
